ID20: 20 years of Industrial Design at UNSW

Today I went to the red centre to have a look at this exhibition. It was interesting to see all the work done by students of the last 20 years. Also to look back at projects that we were doing last year or the year before.

Urban Tribes - Childfree DINK

Today we presented our style boards and scenario boards.

Childfree

These are people who choose to live without kids and who dont want kids. ie. Childless by choice.

It seems to be quite a popular choice of life for people in India and China, mainly with people who have come from working class backgrounds and are now considered middle class.

I think choosing DINK's who choose to remain childless rather than those who cant have kids is probably the better choice for this project.

Skullcandy headphones

Those design are pretty tame compared to some of their other headphones, but these are what you get with gaming and wireless headphones, clearly not as popular as the other versions, or the people who buy em arent looking for anything special.

Raza Fono Headphones concept - for F1

That is the shape I was thinking of doing. It looks sick, however my design will hafta put up with teens instead of F1 pros.

Cool chair

Not sure how comfortable it would be, but looks cool and its interesting how its made out a single sheet of plywood.
